Literature Text

My desire for you is frowned upon,
it is criticized by those around me.
They want to restrain me until you've gone
for they know that you will set my heart free.
It is not a matter of lust, but love.
My longing for you- it is green, not red.
This rapture of mine, which I dream much of,
lies on roads through which I'm warned not to tread.
What does it matter if you're strange to them?
Not everything they believe is precise.
My decision's made, regarding this gem
if I am wrong then I will pay the price.
I've a mind of my own, I think for me.
I'll live my life not as I, but as we.
A Shakesperian love sonnet I did for my English class. I got a 98 on it, so I figured I'd submit it.
